Blueberry Bonanza

Description

Did you know that there are more native species of blueberries in North America than any other continent?

Because of their health benefits, such as improving cognitive function including memory and their high antioxidant nutrient count, blueberries are considered a super-food. These are just some of the reasons why, in 1999, the United States Blueberry Council and the Department of Agriculture made July National Blueberry Month. Advocate for healthy choices in your community and inform others of the benefits of eating local food and organic produce.

Download the project and the complimentary "Blueberry Fact Sheet" to help you reach out to your community.

Disclaimer for youth under 13: I promise to get my parent or caregiver’s permission to participate in this project.
