Each year, generationOn runs campaigns and special days of service to engage youth and families in their communities. Educators can use these individually as a one-time service experience for their classroom or school, or participate in multiple campaigns to build a continuum of service throughout the year.
All campaigns and days of service feature service project ideas, lesson plans, and opportunities to apply for grants to support your volunteering.
Rules of Kindness
The Rules of Kindness Campaign, powered by Hasbro Children's Fund, challenges kids and teens to be kind, build empathy and show they care! With research backed resources, you can now build cultures of caring in your home, school, and community. Find the tools you need and share your Rules of Kindness at generationOn.org/rulesofkindness
Family Volunteer Day
Family Volunteer Day is a day of service that celebrates the power of families who work together to support their communities and neighborhoods. Volunteering is a great way for kids and adults to make new friends, develop compassion for their neighbors, and even pick up a new skill or two! Find the tools and resources you need to make this Family Volunteer Day a success at www.generationOn.org/fvd.
Joy Maker Challenge
The Joy Maker Challenge connects youth ages 5-18 to hands-on community service during the holidays. Kids and teens across the country can get involved by completing service projects and sharing their story for a chance to win grants. By volunteering, kids and teens can spread joy in their community and across the country. For each kid or teen who participates, Hasbro will donate a toy or game to Toys for Tots, up to 1 million dollars' worth!

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
On Monday January 18th, generationOn celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, a Baptist minister and a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. King worked to support equality and ensure that people are not treated differently because of factors like the color of their skin. As we remember and thank Dr. King for the contributions he made, we continue his vision of equal rights for all by empowering youth to make their mark on this national day of service.
