Out-of-School Time
Body
GenerationOn’s OST programming provides quality program packages that present youth with opportunities to develop academic, civic, and life skills in a wide range of domains by offering service and service-learning activities that engage, empower, and educate youth.
Our high-interest service and service-learning programs include standards-aligned curricula, specialized trainings and ongoing technical assistance that ensure successful implementation and positive youth outcomes during the hours when youth are most vulnerable to crime, violence and learning loss.
Program Structure
Through each program, students learn about the topic(s) covered in their chosen curriculum and then work together to design service-learning projects that are based on the self assessed needs and interests of their surrounding community. Participating program sites are encouraged to participate in generationOn service days and topic-related field trips to enhance their experiences and take advantage of diverse learning opportunities.
