Body

Infuse service into your school culture;
become a generationOn School!
Whether you are a teacher trying out service-learning
for the first time in your classroom or a seasoned
administrator working to sustain a school-wide culture
of service-learning, you can join the generationOn
Schools movement.
Participation as a generationOn School is at no cost
to teachers and schools and yields many benefits for
youth, schools, and communities.
A generationOn School is a place where students,
parents, teachers and community members connect
through service to transform academic experience
and foster the life skills of young people for lifelong
community engagement.
With three levels of engagement, access to over 1500 standards-based lesson plans, and training and technical assistance, a teacher can plant the seeds of service in an Inspired School, a school can grow deeper in its commitment to quality service-learning as an Equipped School, and the school community can flourish in sustainable service-learning as a Mobilized School.
A generationOn School...
Educates students through hands-on learning opportunities that develop academic skills, foster positive attitudes and build connection to school and community.
Equips educators through youth-centered, standards-aligned curricula, resources, training and technical assistance to implement and sustain service-learning and philanthropy education.
Empowers students, teachers, parents and community members to lead through service.
