Caps For Kids With Cancer
Project:
Going through chemotherapy can cause children to lose their hair. Having a new cotton or soft fleece cap or a hat from a national sports team, can keep a child warm and make them feel normal.
Hats, especially with a national sports team or college logo
Soft fleece or cotton caps that will comfort delicate scalps
Card paper, ribbon and safety pins
1
With a parent or caregiver, contact a local pediatric hospital and tell them you would like to collect new hats for kids undergoing treatment
2
Decide how you will collect the hats, such as askling merchants or sports teams to donate. All hats must be new
3
Decorate collection boxes, make flyers and posters. List the dates, location and information about the hospital receiving your hats
4
Make a small card that you can attach with ribbon and a safety pin to the hats. You can draw a cheerful picture on the card to let kids know that you are thinking of them
5
Deliver the hats or caps to the hospital
