Grab the Torch
Body
Grab The Torch, a leadership, ethics and philanthropy summer camp institute, is offering full and partial scholarships at their July 8th-13th (Simsbury CT/Newport RI) and August 12th-17th (Burlington VT) to generationOn youth members. A group of generationOn youth attended Grab The Torch in 2011 (Clay, Milton, Sibongile and Rachel, pictured with Matt Cook at Paul Newman’s Hole In The Wall Gang Camp, Ashford CT) and had a wonderful experience last year. You will meet over 20 of the most influential non-profit executives, greater good leaders and committed business leaders who will share their life experiences in the non-profit and cause related sector. Amy Smith, President of Points of Light Action Networks remarks, “this is an exceptional opportunity for youth to hone their leadership skills and learn from experts in philanthropy and service.”
You will need to apply on-line and complete the essay questions. Please indicate (POL) in the reference section of the application. Transportation is available to and from the local airports, train and bus stations and Metro North in New Haven.
